River, a socially engaged project with Oceanside Museum of Art, funded by the Creative Catalyst grant.
During a four month period in 2017 over 1000 people from 32 different communities in North San Diego County knitted on the hand built looms. Using repurposed tshirts from donations and local thrift stores, participants sat together, shared stories and used their hands to make what would eventually become a large textile installation at OMA.  Each participant was credited and offered free admission to the museum.
